Have you ever felt a sense of inner peace during a storm of emotions or noticed a small, unexpected sign that seemed to hold a deeper meaning? Recognising these signs can bring clarity and peace when life feels uncertain, helping us to navigate through life's challenges. 1. Angel Numbers

One of the most common signs that people notice are repeated number sequences like 111, 5555 or 2727. These often appear on things like clocks, receipts, license plates, phone numbers and addresses. Each sequence holds a specific meaning: for example 111 can signal new beginnings, while 444 is support and reassurance from the angels that you're on the right path. If you're noticing these numbers frequently, take time to pause and reflect on your current situation.

2. Coins

Have you been asking the universe for financial help? If you're finding coins on your path or in places they weren't previously there, you can take this as a token of encouragement that abundance is on its way. It doesn't have to be related to money; coins can be a gentle nudge to remain positive because your angels are supporting you physically, mentally and emotionally.

3. White Feathers

Finding a feather, especially small white fluffy ones, in unusual places is a classic angel sign. Feathers are symbolic of purity and connection to the spiritual realm - remember the saying, "feathers appear when angels are near". If you find a feather on your path, in your home or at a significant moment, it's a sign that angels are close by and you're never alone on your journey.

When I bought my first angel tarot deck, I sat outside in the sunshine to do a reading for myself. Just as I was shuffling, a white feather drifted past my face. Of course, it could have blown across from anywhere in the garden - but talk about divine timing!

4. Angel Dreams

Angels often communicate through dreams because we're most receptive when the brain slows down. Messages can be delivered directly through conversation or symbols like wings and bright lights. You might dream of loved ones that have crossed over to the spirit realm, as angels will sometimes send a familiar face to comfort and reassure you.

There've been many occasions where I've freaked out thinking there's a spider in my hair!

You might notice angelic symbols, such as wings or halos, in everyday objects: clouds, shadows, a puddle on the floor or a coffee splash that marks your morning newspaper. I once saw love heart shapes continuously throughout the day in everything from baked beans to the cat's litter tray! These visual signs may resonate with some aspect of your life, which you should take as encouragement from the angels to trust your intuition.

8. Sounds or Voices

Some people report hearing voices, either as a soft whisper or internally like a thought that comes in quiet moments. You might hear your name being called or gentle music that has no physical source. These may be fleeting but often mean that angels are trying to get your attention. Ask them to come forward with love and light, and they'll make their presence known with further signs and symbols.

9. Quotes and Messages

Angel signs are often so subtle that they're easily missed, but sometimes they can be staring us in the face as a more urgent "nudge". Whatever the case may be, it answers a question that's been on your mind or resonates in another important way.

Sometimes angels send help through people or situations. If you receive unexpected support, a gift, an opportunity or meet someone that seems perfectly timed, you should consider it a sign. These moments come when you need them most, as angels are always supporting you behind the scenes.

Recognising signs from angels helps to deepen your connection to the spiritual world and provide comfort during challenging times, but you don't need to wait until you're in a crisis to ask for them. In fact, they're sending messages all the time and often come when you least expect it.

Many of these signs can also come from the spirits of loved ones or ancestors. When I asked my grandma to show me that she was still with me, I wanted a specific sign that was easy to spot but not obvious enough to see all the time. The first thing that popped into my head was a blue piece of ribbon.

A few days later, I was with my mum and she offered me a Blue Ribbon chocolate bar that she'd bought from a recent shopping trip. It didn't even occur to me that it was a sign because I was expecting something else - certainly not food!

It wasn't until a couple of weeks later that a close friend told me about a short film they were making, titled The Blue Ribbon. Suddenly, something clicked in my brain and I remembered about the chocolate bar. Sometimes, the signs we receive are the ones we ask for, but they come in a different form to what we imagined.

Take this as a lesson to pay attention to your surroundings and any synchronicities, however fleeting they seem. The more you acknowledge the signs, the more you'll receive them!
